A Denver visit. Our family is scattered all over between Hawaii and the mainland. This past week, Gregg and I spent some time with our second oldest, Paulmichael, who lives in Colorado. He's a single dad with two little girls, Mila and Keighlani. Our youngest, Liam also lives with them and going to school there. And we have not seen him since last summer when he left home to move to Colorado. Needless to say, that was a hard experience for me.
Paulmichael was born on my birthday. We are exactly 20 years apart. Since he left home for the army when he was 18, we don't often get to spend our birthday together. So this visit was also a birthday visit.
A break from bag production was a great big welcome for me and Gregg and I enjoyed playing with the kids (big ones included as well as the little ones)
We went to see Gods of Egypt and I think I enjoyed the theater experience more than the movie!!!
Our meals were served with flatware, albeit silver plated plastic flatware but food choices went beyond the normal popcorn and soda and seating were reclining leather seats. I could've taken a nap. I almost did!!! I caught myself nodding off a couple of times during the movie.
Oh! and our food was served to us. We stopped to order them in the lobby before going in to find our reserved online seating. What is the proper movie going etiquette? Should I tip the server?
A girl is never to old to play dress up with her dolls...Ahem!!! I mean, granddaughters.
And really who doesn't dogpile with a brand new puppy?
The boys got a new puppy. Shar Pei, Saint Bernard mix. He is just too adorable not to cuddle. Well, even if I didn't want to cuddle I really had no choice...none of us did.
But work beckons. I can't seem to stay away from work for far too long. And when the girls were at school, I played around with a sketch idea for a new fabric print. Be on the look out!!!
Gregg and I will most certainly miss them. We missed them even before we said our goodbyes.
